D&H has been prodding end users to embrace unified communication platforms with integrated voice, chat, text, and other capabilities for years. These days it barely needs to. SMBs have begun asking for UC systems, and especially cloud-based ones, all on their own.
“You’ve got newer, younger owners coming in that have lived in the cloud and lived in a subscription world their whole lives, and I think most importantly they’ve been collaborating since they were young,” DiMarco says. “They believe that’s the required experience as they go and build their business.”
The end result for D&H was a 55 percent uptick in unified communications revenue this year. DiMarco foresees even bigger growth ahead as faster 5G connectivity starts coming on line. “It’s going to explode,” he says of UC demand.
