The North American edition of Datto Inc.’s annual DattoCon partner event took place in Austin, Texas, last week. Here’s a final roundup of news about Datto’s current and future products, not to mention its continued commitment to open integration with products from its competitors.
The driving logic behind integrating Datto’s backup appliances and networking gear with systems like Autotask PSA is that administering all of a customer’s IT assets in one place enables MSPs to maximize efficiency.
“The PSA is like your command center,” observes McChord. “Being able to see the entire IT environment is really what you want.”
That being the case, though, what’s the future of Datto’s popular web-based management console? Might it be phased out someday in favor of everything being done in the PSA? Not according to McChord, anyway.
“We want to enable the partners to manage in any way feel that they fell is best for their business,” he says.
