It is no secret that more and more employees are choosing to work from home, as remote connectivity becomes more accessible. However, not all employees have the ability to separate their work life from home. Many wish to have a space dedicated to work alone, though often this isn’t possible with constraints on real estate.
There are several companies that have noticed this problem and have worked toward a solution. Specialty pods made for gardens, backyards, rooftops or decks have begun to be assembled to add an additional office space to the homes of remote employees. With desk and storage space, lighting, heating, and clever ambiance in many designs, these spaces can be a suitable office environment with an unbeatable commute.
If you have the capital, they could be a great personal or company purchase to entice new employees. With stay-at-home workers becoming more common, down the line they may become more common than we expect. While these spaces may be a technology more suited for the future, they are fun to look at and imagine sitting in our own backyards.
