Some might say a good defense is more important than a good offense, which is why every team needs a solid catcher that protects the plate and lets nothing get by. SMB teams in particular are looking to become more nimble on defense and need talent that can adapt to changing circumstances throughout the season.
Sophos U has been pumping out some great defensive hardware the past few years that tends to get selected in the early rounds. The entire class of XGS Series Next Gen Firewalls may be the brightest defensive prospects in the 2021 draft and are sure to be in high demand. The XGS can see offensive attacks better and faster than most in the league thanks to its high-performance Xstream flow processor, which can handle TLS 1.3 inspection without slowing down the core CPU, and zero-day protection that uses machine learning technology to instantly identify unknown threats.
It’s a big class coming out of Sophos this year. The vendor has several other prospects better suited for desktop, SMB, and enterprise teams, but any team in need of a wall behind the plate will pick the XGS players first.
