NEVER BEFORE has there been such buzz and excitement for a Major League Hardware (MLH) season. It took nothing less than a global pandemic to empty out the stadiums of small and midsize businesses. As life gradually returns to normal this summer, those empty stadiums are expected to gradually fill with fans eager to see the latest and greatest hardware prospects from vendor universities all over the world take the field.
SMB team channel scouts, widely known as “MSPs” or “VARs” in MLH lingo, don’t have it easy, as there is an enormous amount of new hardware to consider. Teams with picks in the later rounds may gamble on unproven hardware that could turn out to be the next big thing, but those with early picks are likely going to take the brightest prospects in areas where their teams are weakest.
Let’s take a look at a sampling of some of the standout hardware talent that teams will no doubt scoop up quickly in this year’s draft. SMB teams and their MSP scouts have some tough decisions to make on what new hardware will be taking the field on opening day. One thing is for certain: It’s going to be an exciting season!
