Today’s launch of the Sandy Bridge CPU family and P6 series of motherboard chipsets is a major change in the marketplace with virtually every performance and mainstream user will be purchasing this combination if they are going for a new system on the Intel platform this year. The enthusiast platform will still be based upon the X58 and LGA-1366 CPUs until Intel releases their next enthusiast platform later this year if everything goes according to plan.
