Zadara Inc., the cloud services provider and leader in enterprise storage-as-a-service, today announced that Gene Cunningham and Joe Sacchetti have joined the company’s North American leadership team in the roles of Vice President of Sales and Senior Director of Channels, respectively. Cunningham and Sacchetti are recognized as a world-class sales leader known for building highly effective sales teams and leading channel programs. These seasoned cloud industry leaders will strengthen Zadara’s global sales strategy and commitment to the channel to best serve customers, and service provider partners at a time when demand for Zadara solutions is rapidly increasing.

Having recently expanded its offerings to include production-ready, fully managed cloud compute-as-a-service, Zadara is building on this growing momentum and expanding cloud services portfolio. The Zadara Cloud Platform simplifies operational complexity through automated end-to-end infrastructure provisioning of compute, storage and networking resources. Zadara’s global partner network has doubled in the past year to include more than 300 points of presence globally supported by best-in-class providers and customers, including Cyxtera, CenturyLink, Equinix, KDDI, K3 Starcom, NTT, Verizon, Rakuten, Daisy, and Softcat, among others.

“Our upward trajectory shows no signs of slowing down and our growth numbers are in large part due to the strength of our channel partners,” said Nelson Nahum, CEO and co-founder of Zadara. “Zadara’s cloud services platform provides enormous value to service providers and the enterprise and addresses an expressed need for consumption-based services. We are thrilled to welcome Gene and Joe to the Zadara leadership team and look forward to the positive impact they will have on our channel and continued growth goals.”

As Vice President of North American Sales, Cunningham will leverage his deep expertise in developing and delivering cloud-based services to support Zadara’s expanding services portfolio. Most recently, Cunningham served as Rackspace’s Business Leader for the North America Multi-Cloud Unit. At Rackspace, Cunningham headed up a $1 billion business with a focus on client retention, revenue growth and sales. Cunningham also held senior positions at DXC Technology (formerly Hewlett Packard Enterprise) and Fujitsu.

“Zadara is changing the way cloud services are deployed and managed,” said Cunningham. “There is an expressed need for offerings that make the cloud more friendly and eliminate the concerns traditionally associated with cloud computing. This is a very exciting time in the history of Zadara.”

Trusted by industry-leading telecom providers, retailers, financial institutions, banks, healthcare companies, hospitals, and automotive leaders via its network of managed service provider (MSP) partners, Zadara is committed to its channel community. As North American channel leader, Sacchetti brings more than a decade of experience growing a company’s channel presence, at organizations including Zerto, Dell EMC, SanDisk, and the U.S. Department of Defense, among others, forging new relationships, leading world-class teams, and moving initiatives forward. Most recently the Global VP of Channels at SaaS startup Keyed In, Sacchetti brings his experience building channels from scratch in today’s Cloud and “As a Service” environments.

“By giving our valued partners the capability to offer advanced cloud services to their enterprise customers, we’re opening the door to cost savings, improved efficiency, latency and manageability,” noted Sacchetti. “I look forward to helping Zadara’s powerful channel realize these benefits, support their customers’ storage needs — and best of all grow their businesses.”
