Wasp Barcode Technologies Releases New Mobile Computers for Inventory Tracking

The new computer line is designed to efficiently track inventory, while withstanding a rigorous work environment.

Wasp Barcode Technologies, a productivity solutions provider for small businesses, has released five new mobile computers for inventory tracking: the DT90 2D (numeric), the DT90 Mobile Computer Batch, the DT60 2D (QWERTY), the DT60 2D (numeric), and the HC1 2D (QWERTY).

The new mobile computers are built for use in a wide range of industries, including retail, warehousing, logistics, government and military, manufacturing, and healthcare. They feature integrated laser scanners capable of reading all standard 1D or 2D barcodes as well as QR codes. The computers also include a ruggedized casing, constructed to resist damage from bumps and drops, water, and dust (IP64 particulate and water sealant rating).

Features of the DT90 2D include:

  • An ergonomically-designed, durable pistol grip handle
  • 38-key functional keypad
  • 3.2 inch high-visibility color graphic display and an inclined scan engine so data on the screen can be viewed simultaneously while scanning 1D or 2D barcodes
  • 624 MHz microprocessor with 32-bit coprocessor and offered with Microsoft Windows CE 6.0

The DT90 Mobile Computer Batch is ideal for use in government and military environments and features the same characteristics of a DT90 mobile computer without the communication components and the pistol grip handle.†††††

The Wasp HC1 2D is made to scan 1D or 2D barcodes using the integrated laser scan engine. With instant data downloads to PCs, this model is ideal for the manufacturing and healthcare industries. Other features include:

  • Built-in 802.11 a/b/g wireless connectivity
  • 1 Ghz TI processor and Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5
