Voxox Appoints Former Nitel, Cbeyond Executive Kevin Weber as Sales EVP to Expand Sales and Channel Efforts

Weber brings more than 25 years’ expertise building sales organizations and large distribution channels

Voxox, innovator in unified cloud communication solutions for businesses with the most comprehensive unified communications Platform as a Service, today announced the appointment of Kevin Weber as the company’s top-ranking sales executive. In his new role as EVP of Sales, Weber will be responsible for expanding revenue generation efforts, including distribution channel development, growing the sales team nationwide, and overall oversight of the sales organization and resource alignment to ensure client success. Voxox cloud products and services include: hosted IP-PBX, SIP Trunking, a wide array of wholesale services, such as high volume SMS, and the company’s flagship virtual PBX service,†Cloud Phone.†

“My greatest strength and passion lies in taking a sales organization to the next level,” said Weber. “Voxox has a wide breadth of SME products, strong sales and support teams, and key channel connections in place. The company is in excellent shape for building upon this foundation and driving more revenue through an expanded footprint and sales growth strategy.”

Throughout his career, Weber has been recognized in the industry for developing top leaders and sustained performance exceeding critical goals in both growth and profitability. In his most recent role, Weber was recruited by Nitel in 2011 to grow its U.S. presence from two offices to nationwide penetration. Despite contraction and heavy competition in the industry, Weber convinced Nitel to utilize a decentralized channel agent model, which within four years, yielded significantly higher organic domestic sales at record profitability.††

Prior to this, Weber joined Cbeyond as part of the founding team and the company’s first sales employee while it was still a telecom upstart. He quickly developed and implemented a unique go-to-market strategy and product marketing structure that meant immediate success. He closed the first deal and recruited a national sales team fueled by a new sales methodology and a very different compensation structure that was soon the talk of the industry. Working closely with an aggressive growth strategy sponsored by his founding partners, Cbeyond quickly expanded into eight regional offices focused entirely on the small-to-medium business market nationwide. Earlier in his career, Weber was recruited to develop and expand the direct sales force for Intermedia’s voice services.†

“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin, a highly experienced and talented leader, to the Voxox executive team,” said Bryan Hertz, CEO, and co-founder of Voxox. “Kevin’s proven track record and vision for expanding our sales organization and channel efforts are well-aligned with our overall strategy and growth goals for 2017-2018. We are lucky to have gathered such an incredible team at Voxox and look forward to continuing to disrupt the telecom space with innovative solutions and smart customer service.”†
