Manufacturer works to lure environmentally conscious and bottom-line-conscious customers alike with new energy efficiency rating of “up to 97 percent.”

Tripp Lite’s lastest line of incorporate an “Economy Mode” function, and the company is working to leverage that mode’s “reduced energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and reduced stress on overburdened power grids” as key green features that will attract environmentally conscious and bottom-line-conscious customers alike.Tripp Lite SmartOnline 1000VA

Tripp Lite director of product management Dave Slotten, puts it this way: “Tripp Lite’s 3-phase units not only provide premium protection … they also perform at a level of efficiency that reduces overhead, improves financial performance, and allows businesses to operate in an environmentally responsible way.”

In the Economy Mode, according to Tripp Lite, the SmartOnline 3-phase series boasts an efficiency rating of up to 97 percent. “Economy Mode yields a significant reduction in operating costs through lower heat output, reduced cooling requirements, and associated electrical savings,” the vendor states in a recent press release.†

Some of the key characteristics of the 3-phase UPS are:

  • Up to a 97 percent efficiency rating in Economy Mode
  • Energy efficiency and cost savings
  • Double-conversion mode that is only employed when utility power quality demands it
  • Modular 3-phase models that provide N? and parallel capabilities
  • Wide ranging models, with capacities from 20 kVA to 160 kVA, that provide global applications
