TRENDnet is First-to-Market Unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ Switches

TRENDnet® (www.TRENDnet.com), a global leader in reliable SMB and consumer networking and surveillance solutions, continues to add to its popular 2.5G product family, announcing today its first-to-market unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ switches. The two new models are the 5-Port Unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ Switch (TPE-TG350) and the 8-Port Unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ Switches (TPE-TG380).

TRENDnet’s new unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ switches are designed to expand your network’s bandwidth and reduce traffic bottlenecks while delivering power and data over a single cable. These switches can conveniently use existing Cat5e (or better) cabling, saving even more on time and costs spent on setup and infrastructure. The 2.5G PoE+ switches offer a reliable and cost-effective solution to increasing a network’s throughput.

Both 2.5G PoE+ switches are IEEE 802.3bz (2.5G) compliant, and also support IEEE 802.3at/af PoE standards. In addition to supporting multi-gigabit networking speeds, these 2.5G PoE+ switches are backwards compatible with 10/100/1000Mbps devices, making them easier to integrate with existing networks and legacy devices. The sturdy medal switches each feature a fanless design to eliminate distracting operating noise, and are wall-mountable to provide installation flexibility.

The unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ switches are just the latest addition to TRENDnet’s very popular 2.5G product line, which includes non-PoE 2.5G switches (TEG-S350, TEG-S380), a 2.5G PoE+ injector (TPE-215GI), a USB-C to 2.5G Ethernet Adapter (TUC-ET2G), and a 2.5G PCIe network card (TEG-25GECTX).

TRENDnet’s new unmanaged 2.5G PoE+ switches, along with the entire 2.5G product line, are currently available for purchase worldwide. TRENDnet products can be found online on the TRENDnet store, or through TRENDnet’s worldwide authorized distribution network and retail partners.
