TPx, the premier managed services provider, has added Kristen Vick to its fast-growing team of national channel managers. Based in Houston, Vick will support TPx channel partners in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
Vick brings many years of industry experience in the channel primarily working for KeaneTel, a master agency, from 2005 to 2013 when it was acquired by Telecom Decision Makers (TDM). After the acquisition, Vick stayed with TDM, working in support positions involving quotes, orders, and commission analysis. She grew into a business development and sales enablement role where she was the point person between all vendors and partners, and assisted partners with closing millions of dollars in new business.
“I’ve known Kristen since 2005 when she worked for KeaneTel,” said Michael Masini, Director, Channel Management at TPx. “So when she was recommended to TPx by a few of our top partners in the region, I was interested in talking to her. Vick will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding and training partners in her region and making sure they have everything they need to be successful when marketing, selling and supporting TPx solutions.
“Having spent most of my career on the master agency side of the industry, I’ve seen a range of suppliers experience peaks and valleys,” said Vick. “The highly successful ones were those that evolved with the technology and were able to execute on a plan for growth. TPx is proven on both counts and has excellent senior leadership as well as channel management. I was in talks with multiple companies but when I peeled back the onion, I felt like TPx provided the best opportunity for myself and the partners with whom I’ll be working side by side.”
Vick cited TPx’s recent introduction of an install guarantee as part of its commitment to delivering a best-in-class partner and customer experience. The program guarantees that for all sales through Aug. 31, 2018, TPx will meet or exceed customer-negotiated due dates for installations or pay a $500 penalty to the partner. TPx also recently created an exclusive service provisioning team for agent partners.
