TPx Brings Managed High-Speed Internet Access to Customers Nationwide

New capability hits delete button for geographic access limitations on business-class services and support

It used to be that “location, location, location” dictated how and when you could get bandwidth to connect to the Internet – and restricted the companies providing key applications to what was available in a market. Had a single provider in your neighborhood? Then it was the single option – and often a singular obstacle to growing a business or running an organization in today’s net-driven universe. With†TPx’s new Managed High-Speed Internet Access offering, that limitation is taken off the table. By working with local telecom and cable providers across the country, TPx extends its ability to bring its award-winning managed voice and data services to virtually any business location in the United States.

TPx’s new service is a turnkey managed Internet solution that brings a much-needed balance of affordable, reliable and flexible connectivity to customers anywhere in the country. It offers symmetrical and asymmetrical bandwidth options that can be fine-tuned to meet specific budgetary and technical requirements. Bandwidths range from 1Mbps to 1Gbps and higher, where available. The added capability of software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) transforms this economical bandwidth into a business-class connection with powerful and secure end-to-end management.

“We really don’t care who provides the underlying connectivity,” said Dave Zahn, senior vice president of marketing for TPx. “We’re focused on bringing the solution that makes the most sense for our customers. We know that they want simplification, affordability and advanced services, and that’s a challenging new bar to clear in today’s business environment. TPx addresses their networking, continuity and budget needs and manages the entire solution.”

TPx’s Managed High-Speed Internet Access goes well beyond the Bring Your Own Bandwidth (BYOB) option that is becoming an increasingly popular choice for companies that want to take advantage of low-cost bandwidth for advanced managed services. Such cost savings can come with a price in reliability and complexity. TPx’s Managed High-Speed Internet Access can create a tremendously flexible answer to the traditional barrier of last-mile Internet connectivity. It can smoothly integrate an existing broadband connection with TPx local access options such as fiber, Ethernet over copper, fixed wireless, TDM and 4G cellular to create a seamless managed high-speed, high-aavailability solution for customers. Regardless of whether they have a single office or multiple locations across the country, businesses can benefit from the simplicity of a single point of contact for the management, installation, repair and billing of all their communications services.

“Managed High-Speed Internet Access is designed to support any mission-critical cloud-based applications our customers may have,” said Zahn. “It is optimized for TPx’s hosted and managed services, including unified communications, managed data and security services, private networking and Microsoft Office 365. As the nation’s leading managed services carrier, we can provide the entire package for our customers, with prioritized quality that’s backed by our industry-leading service level agreement.”

Using this new capability, businesses don’t have to worry about service quality issues with the high-speed Internet connections that are the cornerstone of today’s relationships with customers and suppliers. TPx manages the network connections that its advanced services run over, and can deliver the high-availability peace of mind that a simple BYOB arrangement can’t. Questions about failover options, application compatibility and the need to maintain dedicated support staff become irrelevant with a single end-to-end TPx solution. Managed High-Speed Internet Access gives multiple built-in alternatives if one connection has problems.† ††
