Texas Memory Systems, a storage provider, has partnered with NEVEX Virtual Technologies, an application optimization provider. The partnership is designed to improve the performance of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual applications implemented on the TMS RamSan line of Flash-based SSD storage devices.
NEVEX CacheWorks is a file-based cache integrated with the Microsoft Windows Server operating system. CacheWorks can be installed on physical and virtual servers, using a Flash-based SSD to intelligently cache active application data. TMS’ products include the RamSan-810 eMLC system, a 1U SSD, and the RamSan-70 “Gorilla” PCIe card, which provides 900GB capacity. Combining NEVEX CacheWorks with TMS’ high-bandwidth low-latency enterprise data storage systems provides critical I/O acceleration for virtualized applications, allowing users to optimize existing storage capacity.
