Technology products, services, and solutions distributor Tech Data Corporation has revealed a new agreement with Samsung Electronics America Inc. to offer unlocked versions of several Samsung devices, including the latest Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones and Samsung KNOX security and customization solutions. Under the new distribution agreement, Tech Data will be authorized to sell annual licenses for Samsung KNOX-enabled smartphones and tablets.
The unlocked versions of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge include the same features as the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge models launched earlier this year. Some of these features include water and dust resistance, an advanced camera, fast wireless charging, and Always-On Display. In addition to offering unlocked versions of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, Tech Data will also distribute unlocked versions of the Samsung Galaxy J3 and Galaxy S6.
