Distributor Tech Data Corp. today announced the addition of Symantec Cloud Workload Protection (CWP) and Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) Mobile, from Mountain View, Calif.-based Symantec Corp., to its StreamOne Cloud Marketplace. StreamOne is Tech Data’s provisioning, billing, and end-user lifecycle management cloud platform for consumption- and subscription-based cloud services.
Symantec CWP allows organizations to secure and monitor their critical workloads wherever they are—public clouds, private clouds, and physical, on-premises data centers—all from a single console. CWP automates workload security, providing discovery, visibility, and protection against advanced threats.
Clearwater, Fla.-based Tech Data will offer CWP with annual and pay-for-use pricing, enabling customers to secure workloads running on the following public cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Symantec’s SEP Mobile is a mobile threat defense solution for both managed and unmanaged devices that helps to protect against cybersecurity threats targeted at iOS and Android devices. SEP Mobile’s advanced technology uses a layered approach that leverages extensive threat intelligence, in addition to device- and server-based analysis, to proactively help protect enterprise mobile devices against malware, network threats, and vulnerability exploits.

Tech Data will be offering free 30-day trials of both products.
Symantec recently expanded its relationship with Pax8 too, with the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based value-added distributor adding SEP Mobile to its curated list of cloud-based solutions in May. The Pax8 catalog also includes Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud, Symantec Cloud Workload Protection, and Symantec Web Security.cloud, along with multiple email security solutions and the Symantec VIP multifactor authentication system.
