SYNNEX is a major distributor of Microsoft Office 365, which dominates the SMB collaboration market at present. Workplace isn’t the first potential alternative to that platform that Moyer’s group has introduced, however. Google’s G Suite product family has been available through SYNNEX as well for just over two years.
“We’ve been very adept at launching the newer channel brands in the industry,” Moyer says.
G Suite sales are rising in the “high double digits” currently among U.S. SMBs, according to Vice President of Sales John Phillips in an interview with ChannelPro two months ago.
Rebranding CloudSolv as Stellr is designed to prevent partners from mistaking CloudSolv for a cloud-only offering. “It’s much more than cloud,” Moyer says, noting that partners can get solutions for mobility and the Internet of Things through the marketplace as well. “My mobility business is growing as fast if not faster than my cloud business,” Moyer observes.
CloudSolv revenue rose 115 percent on a year-over-year basis in 2018.
