Rackable Systems Launches Global Program
Outreach to SMB resellers is a focus of the new program.
Freemont, Calif.-based Rackable Systems, Inc., a provider of Eco-Logical servers and storage products for data centers, has launched its worldwide Eco-Partner program. The program and new Web portal will help Rackable offer partners of all sizes expanded access to its Eco-Logical data center solutions.
Long known for its solutions optimized for medium- to large-scale data centers, Rackable recently introduced CloudRack, configured for cloud computing, and MobiRack, mobile cabinets hosting the company’s half-depth servers. Both are aimed at the SMB market.
“Outreach to SMBs is going to be done through our channels, which is why we’re re-launching our channel program,” says George Skaff, Rackable Systems’ vice president of marketing. “We’ve been in the channel for awhile, but we haven’t been very proactive in growing our partners’ businesses, nor have they been proactive in helping us grow our business. We realize [we need] a combination of products and programs.”
Eco-Partner program benefits include the partner portal for access to sales and marketing tools, deal registration that qualifies partners for additional financial incentives, and qualified lead distribution. There is also a Web tool that calculates estimated component savings scenarios and helps optimally configure products for targeted data center applications. Joint sales engagements and business development, as well as joint go-to-market campaigns and events such as trade shows, seminars, and workshops, are also offered as part of the expanded program.
