By using the services, resellers engage Catalyst Telecom in providing up-front implementation procedures before a communications solution is shipped to the end-user customer.
Services include system design and programming; firmware verification; license key validation; modem, driver, and memory installation; burn in; and testing. Not only does the use of these services mean less on-site time for the reseller, but improved cash flow, because the number of days from installation to invoice is reduced by up to about two weeks, according to Catalyst Telecom. The distributor also says there are significantly fewer DOAs and RMAs, because of advance preparation and testing.
