Nerdio Strengthens and Expands Enterprise Focus and Introduces Microsoft Veteran Andy Lees to Board of Directors

Nerdio Advances Continued Global Growth and Welcomes Lees to Leadership Team

Nerdio, the definitive Azure deployment, management and optimization solution for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and enterprise IT professionals, today announced that former Microsoft executive Andy Lees has joined its Board of Directors, following an impressive year of company growth and expansion in both the enterprise and MSP markets. Andy Lees brings over 23 years of leadership experience at Microsoft to the Nerdio board. His addition comes on the heels of Nerdio’s explosive entrance into the enterprise market this year and new global expansion efforts, supporting over 30 new enterprise partners in over 20 countries worldwide. In addition, Nerdio’s MSP business has grown 200% over the past year with its popular Nerdio for Azure product.

“As a Microsoft veteran having spent over two decades with the company, I am thrilled to join the Board of Directors at Nerdio, a leading, trusted Microsoft partner”

“The recent, rapid growth and demand for Nerdio Manager for WVD, our flagship enterprise offering, alongside our MSP offering, Nerdio for Azure, proves that now is the best time to increase the presence of enterprise leadership on our board,” said Vadim Vladimirskiy, Chief Executive Officer at Nerdio. “Andy Lees’ impressive two-decade run at Microsoft, our trusted partner, and his overwhelming expertise in the enterprise technology industry makes him an ideal fit to grow our board as we continue to scale our business. We’re thrilled to be working with Andy to continue supporting IT professionals and MSPs around the world.”

Nerdio has seen impressive growth across the business in 2020. Following the launch of Nerdio Manager for WVD in March and the rapid global demand for virtual desktop infrastructure support, Nerdio accelerated its international expansion through a strategic product partnership with sepago and the hiring of Microsoft MVP Bas van Kaam as Field CTO for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) market. Nerdio is also growing its sales team by double digits, adding several new roles to meet the increasing demand and needs of partners worldwide.

Andy Lees is a former Microsoft leader and currently serves as an investor and strategic business advisor for growing businesses. Lees began his career at Hewlett-Packard and, in his 23 years at Microsoft, he worked in the U.K. subsidiary for the first 10 years in a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles. He then moved to Microsoft’s corporate headquarters in the U.S. in 2000 where, as a Corporate Vice President, he led Microsoft’s push into the enterprise. Lees is also on the board of technology company River Logic.

“As a Microsoft veteran having spent over two decades with the company, I am thrilled to join the Board of Directors at Nerdio, a leading, trusted Microsoft partner,” said Andy Lees, Board Director, Nerdio. “With businesses worldwide rethinking their technology stack to adapt to the growing remote workforce, it is an exciting time to join Nerdio as they continue to rapidly grow their partner ecosystem as well as their internal team. They are creating such a noticeable and positive impact on businesses across the globe by streamlining the shift to cloud.”
