My Digital Shield (MDS), a provider of security-as-a-service (SECaaS) for small businesses, has hired Rick Green as executive vice president of channel sales. Green will be tasked with furthering the company’s growth throughout the channel and ensuring that existing partners are active and well-positioned to sell MDS’ security technology to the customer base.
With more than 30 years in the networking industry, Green has held various positions in technical, marketing, and sales management with companies such as Nortel Networks, Lucent, Alcatel, N. E. T., and General Electric. In his previous role as vice president of sales at Voice Carrier, a VoIP reseller, he developed and grew a reseller program that reached a peak of $2.5M in sales within two years.
“My Digital Shield offers a unique product to an underserved market at a highly competitive price point,” says Rick Green, executive vice president of channel sales at My Digital Shield. “I look forward to applying my experience to expand MDS’ partner community and ensure that the channel is empowered to serve the growing cybersecurity needs of the small business owner.”
Prior to his time at Voice Carrier, Green served as vice president of sales and general manager for various VARs, including Solunet Inc. and Vigilar. Through these experiences, he successfully expanded partner relationships with several key vendors such as Juniper Networks, Cisco, Foundry, and MRV.
A graduate of Heald College, Green has received numerous awards for sales performance and management including multiple President’s Club honors, reserved only for the top one percent of sales performers.
“We are thrilled to have Rick come on board, given his extensive background in both sales and management,” says Andrew Bagrin, founder and CEO of My Digital Shield. “The demand for cybersecurity solutions continues to become a priority for business owners and individuals alike, making now an opportune time for MDS to focus on growing our relationship among channel partners.”
