Kofax is demonstrating its innovative insurance claims processing solution as part of an engagement at Microsoft Technology Centers worldwide. The Kofax TotalAgility demonstration shows customers how Kofax software interacts with Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud platform to build, deploy, and manage smart process applications illustrated through an insurance claims processing example. The demonstration also shows how Kofax software interacts with the Microsoft enterprise stack (Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Lync, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office 365).
“Millions of businesses across the globe rely on Microsoft to help run their businesses,” says Howard Dratler, executive vice president of field operations at Kofax. “While the initial Kofax application demonstrated in Microsoft Technology Centers is for insurance claims processing, Kofax TotalAgility is a powerful solution for information-intensive processes in every industry.”
The Microsoft Technology Centers are collaborative environments in 31 major cities around the world that provide access to innovative technologies and expertise, enabling customers to envision, design, and deploy solutions to meet their needs. These centers offer a broad collection of resources in one place — software, hardware and services, plus Microsoft, and partner expertise — and a testing environment where customers can see their desired solutions before deploying them in the enterprise. The goal of the Microsoft Technology Centers is to help customers gain maximum value from Microsoft and partner technologies, visualize solutions, reduce development time, and cut the costs of putting a solution to work.
Kofax TotalAgility provides a process and case management solution that enables greater organizational agility through better management of processes. It offers capabilities for process design, automation, simulation, workflow control for managing human tasks, and integration tools for linking business applications (ECM, CRM, email) to processes and business rules. TotalAgility can be delivered on premise via a perpetual license model with a one-time license fee and annual maintenance fees, or as a cloud-based SaaS (software-as-a-service) subscription model hosted on Windows Azure.
