Kensington Expands Industry-Leading Portfolio of Docking Stations

Three New Feature-Packed USB-A, USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 Docks Provide 100 Watt Power Delivery to Support Higher Power Demands of Newer Laptops

Kensington®, the worldwide leader of desktop computing and mobility solutions for IT, business, and home office professionals and The Professionals’ Choice, today announced the expansion of their industry-leading portfolio of docking and connectivity products with the launch of three new feature-rich docking stations.

The new docking stations, which allow users to instantly turn a laptop computer into a complete workstation through a single USB or Thunderbolt 3 cable, each provide 100 watts of power delivery to quickly and simply charge devices with higher power requirements such as the newer MacBook Pro. The new docking stations include:

The Ultimate Hybrid Docking Station for USB-C and USB-A Equipped Laptops – The SD4780P enables users to choose between two HDMI 2.0 and two DP 1.2 ++ ports to provide Ultra High Definition video to up to two 4K monitors @ 60Hz, eliminating the need for cumbersome adapters. Compatible with Windows, macOS and Chrome OS, the Thunderbolt 3-compatible SD4780P delivers speeds up to 10Gbps on the front USB-C and USB-A ports and up to 5Gbps on the four rear USB-A ports.

The Top-of-the-Line USB-C Driverless Dock for USB-C Enabled Windows OS Laptops – The SD4850P delivers 10Gbps data transfer speeds over the USB-C connection and features a 13-in-1 design that includes six USB ports and a built-in UHS II SD 4.0 memory card reader, eliminating the need for additional adapters and accessories. Dual 4K video support is provided through two DisplayPort++ 1.4 ports, a USB-C Alt Mode port and one HDMI 2.0 port, and a dynamic 4K switch allows the user to toggle between modes to prioritize resolution over USB, Ethernet and SD card speeds.

The Ultimate Docking Station for Maximum Productivity on Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C Equipped Laptops – The SD5600T, which works with Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C laptops running Windows or MacOS, is a plug-and-play solution that enables the transfer of data, video and audio at speeds up to 40Gbps when used with Thunderbolt 3 laptops and speeds up to 10Gbps on USB-C 3.2 Gen2 laptops. The universal docking station incorporates 15 ports, including one USB-C and six USB-A ports and built-in SD and micro SD card readers to maximize productivity and minimize the need for additional adapters. Equipped with two DisplayPort 1.2 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports, the SD5600T provides single or dual 4K video output @60Hz for Thunderbolt 3 enabled devices.

All three Kensington docks are covered by a three-year warranty and support the free Kensington DockWorks software which allows users to seamlessly, effortlessly and reliably optimize the docking station’s capabilities.

Kensington’s ProConcierge Program provides organizations with assistance in identifying a docking solution for their unique workplace environment and enables to try the dock before buying, with no obligation to purchase.
