ITEX 2015 Brought the Channel Together in Fort Lauderdale

The 15th annual ITEX National Conference and Expo showcased cutting-edge technologies and solutions, and new business strategies for the office equipment and imaging channel.

The 15th†annual ITEX National Conference and Expo (ITEX), the office equipment and imaging channel’s premier event, wrapped up yesterday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Held at the Broward County Convention Center, the 2015 ITEX event featured the latest advancements and solutions in 3-D printing, cloud, mobility, security, and telecommunications.

ITEX attracts thousands of dealers, resellers, VARs, MSPs, systems integrators, vendors, OEMs, consultants, distributors, manufacturers, industry groups, and associations. More than 140†exhibitors showcased a wide range of tools, technologies, and solutions for the evolving office market. The exhibit also featured document management†and workflow solutions and managed services zones.

Keynote speaker Lawrence M. Walsh, CEO and chief analyst of The 2112 Group, a business strategy firm, delivered his presentation, “Building Better Businesses in a Dynamic Channel,” on opening day.

On Day 2, Paul Dippell, CEO of Service Leadership Inc., a leading consultant to companies with or adding IT services, and publisher of the Service Leadership Index, led a strategic sales workshop, “Light a Fire Under Your Managed IT Sales!” The workshop was presented by ITEX and GreatAmerica†Financial Services and included training on proper forecasting, qualifying, sales activity planning, and a defined sales process; a dealer panel on best practices; and tips for objection handling and closing. Attendees left with their top three action items to accelerate and remove risk from their managed IT sales initiative.

In addition, the 2015 ITEX attendees had access to more than 65 conference sessions on tracks such as Document and Workflow Solutions, Managed Services, Managed Print Services, Sales and Marketing,†and Service and Supplies.

New this year, the event featured two executive workshop sessions. Hosted by InfoTrends, “Mapping the Next Business Model: Channel Diversification” featured a series of “dealer” panel discussions on successful channel business transformation strategies.

CompTIA, a nonprofit trade association for the global information technology industry, hosted the executive workshop, “Gaining Business Agility to Adapt, Strengthen, and Transform.” The workshop featured a “quick start” guide to help executives learn how to evaluate their business, recognize the signals for change, and how to take corrective actions to fine-tune their company’s business plan.†Participants also gained access to CompTIA membership discounts and certification exclusives.
