It Was a Week of Rollouts for Epson

The company introduced this week four new projectors aimed at the SMB and education markets.

Projector manufacturer Epson rolled out four new projectors this week. The company introduced its PowerLite D6000 series with the D6150, D6155W, and D6250 projector models. It also unveiled a more affordable PowerLite 1835 projector.

The company’s product manager, Sean Gunduz, says the new products are a testament to the company’s goal of supplying the SMB and education markets with projector products they can use. “Epson remains committed to educators and students by creating projectors that not only deliver cutting-edge technology and network offerings, but are also built to perform and last,” he says.

New D6000 Series Models

Epson’s new PowerLite D6000 series line of projectors is aimed at higher education environments. The PowerLite D6150, D6155W, and D6250 offer high levels of brightness and picture quality, with a dust-resistant design, a 10,000 hour electrostatic filter, and lamp life of 5,000 hours. The projector also boasts advanced connectivity and networking functions as well as simple setup features.

“The new PowerLite D6000 series projectors feature our most innovative dust resistant design,” Gunduz says.

Epson says its PowerLite D6150 model delivers 3,500 lumens of color and white light output with XGA resolution. The PowerLite D6155W is said to offer 3,500 lumens of color and white light output with WXGA resolution for widescreen content. The PowerLite D6250 features 4,000 lumens of color and white light output with XGA resolution.

In addition, all three models support HDMI-delivered digital video and audio, USB-connected transfer, PC-Free Presentation (for direct access to USB memory devices), and optional wireless configuration.

Moreover, the models provide split-screen capabilities, image adjusting, position flexibility, 3LCD technology, and all the models come ready to work with RoomView software from Crestron for remote monitoring and control.

The Epson PowerLite D6150 ($1,649), D6155W ($1,799), and D6250 ($1,799) will be available in April 2011.

The PowerLite 1835 Projector

The Epson PowerLite 1835 offers setup flexibility, advanced networking, 3,500 lumens of color and white light output, and XGA resolution.

“The PowerLite 1835 meets the installation challenges of the corporate and education markets by delivering a host of easy setup features,” Gunduz, says. “In addition, its connectivity provides†compatibility with current and future IT investments.”

The Epson PowerLite 1835 delivers setup, connectivity, and networking features designed for any boardroom or classroom, including image adjustment, positioning flexibility, advanced connectivity and networking capabilities, and control.

The projector also boasts built-in 16-watt speaker sound, closed captioning decoder, an extended lamp life, and 3LCD technology.

The PowerLite 1835 is available for $1,199 and will be available in March 2011.

All Epson projectors come with a two-year limited warranty (three years for Brighter Futures customers).
