IT By Design Adds Support for Datto and Kaseya Managed Services Solutions

The company’s outsourced NOC and help desk services, as well as its RMM virtual administrator service, now support Datto RMM, Datto’s Autotask PSA solution, and Kaseya’s VSA platform.

IT By Design (ITBD) has added support for MSP line-of-business solutions from Datto and Kaseya to its outsourced NOC and help desk services, as well as its RMM virtual administrator service.

The new offerings supplement existing support for Datto and Kaseya solutions provided previously through ITBD’s outsourced staffing service.

“One of our unique value propositions is that our engineering talent is prepared to work with whatever MSP tools our customers prefer,” says Sunny Kaila, ITBD’s CEO. “However, we’ve been working with both vendors to expand our knowledge base in order to also support the Datto PSA and RMM tools, as well as Kaseya’s VSA RMM.”

ITBD’s NOC and help desk teams can also monitor and assist with products from Kaseya’s Unitrends unit and security solutions from Kaseya’s ID Agent business.

The RMM virtual administrator service is designed to help MSPs increase in-house knowledge of leading platforms and optimize them for high-capacity use. Support for the ConnectWise Automate RMM solution has been available since November 2017. Outsourced NOC and help desk services for ConnectWise Automate debuted a year before that

According to Kaila, adding similar expertise for products from Datto and Kaseya is in keeping with ITBD’s strategic focus on accommodating a wide range of MSP needs.

“We are agnostic in that we support the MSP tools our partners prefer, and we are committed to growing our partnerships with vendors as new tools become available,” he says. “We understand that each MSP has unique preferences in terms of the MSP vendor tools they use, and our goal is support as many of those tools as we can across our services portfolio.”

The new services align with Datto’s strategic priorities too, according to Rob Rae, the company’s senior vice president of business development.

“At Datto, we believe strongly in building strong partnerships—with our MSP partners and adjacent providers in the MSP community,” Rae said in prepared remarks. “It’s important that we all work together to provide MSPs a choice when it comes to what tools and services fit with their business, and working with IT By Design helps to accomplish just that.”

Datto and Kaseya are both sponsors of IT By Design’s upcoming Build IT 2020 conference, which is currently scheduled to take place in Jersey City, N.J., on August 30th and September 1st.

“One key to MSP success is the ability to scale, and that element can often be limited by an MSP’s access to the talent needed to fully optimize and manage common MSP tools,” said Jim Lippie, general manager and senior vice president of partner development at Kaseya, in a media statement. “By working with IT By Design, we help our partners integrate reliable expert support into their businesses, allowing them to optimize the use of their Kaseya solutions and enabling them to focus their internal talent on key strategic, profitable, customer-facing efforts.”

ITBD, which is headquartered in Jersey City, has locations in India, Florida, and British Columbia as well. The company’s facility in Chandigarh, India, unveiled a 500-person office expansion in February.
