IDrive Inc. has unveiled the addition of Disk Image Backup capabilities to its online backup service, enabling users to backup an entire drive, including whole operating systems and files. Features of Disk Image Backup include:
- Full system backup of operating systems, programs, settings, files and folders, including complete retention of content and information structures
- Support for most Windows operating systems, including servers
- Replication of data from a second location
Disk Image Backup can be implemented through IDrive’s application. The service also offers server-based backup capability for MS Sharepoint, MS SQL, MS Exchange, Hyper-V, and Oracle. IDrive comes with universal backup, with no limit to the amount of devices a user can backup to one account for no additional charge. All data is protected with military-grade 256-bit AES encryption, and the option of choosing a private key to ensure that only the user can access their data.
