Edgeos to Offer Free Vulnerability Assessment Scans

A free trial enables service providers to sample the company’s security services platform at no cost.

Edgeos, Inc., a provider of private-labeled, managed vulnerability assessment services in Austin, Texas, says it will provide free vulnerability scans to new and potential customers and partners at the end of a free trial of its private-labeled security services platform.

“This free trial enables potential partners to see how our vulnerability assessment platform works and to sample some of the services that they will be able to offer to their customers,” says Jay Jacobson, CEO of Edgeos. “There is no cost and therefore no risk incurred with this trial. As a thank you for reviewing the service, free trial participants will receive a detailed vulnerability assessment report on the IP address(es) scanned.

The Edgeos service was designed for the channel, helping companies to build new sources of recurring revenues, drive brand value, simplify management, and minimize costs, according to the company. Unlike other offerings, Edgeos says its service enables partners to perform unlimited internal and external vulnerability scans on unique hosts through a secure, Web-enabled portal on a subscription basis, rather than requiring incremental hardware or software licenses.

The Edgeos Security Services Platform has four components:

  • An integrated Web-based security portal that provides access to all aspects of the service
  • Scanning engines that perform automated internal or external assessments either scheduled or on demand and provide unlimited scanning of unique hosts
  • A custom reporting engine that offers security analysis data in a variety of formats including differentials, historical trending, threat overviews, and executive summaries
  • A security management interface that enables partner businesses and their customers to configure, customize, schedule, and control all aspects of their security services for their businesses

Edgeos’ external and internal scanning reaches all segments of a network, according to the company. Partners can deploy automated scanning servers within user networks while managing security services from a remote location. Diagnostic assessments can generate new revenue from remediation business and consulting.

Edgeos’ services meet or exceed vulnerability scanning requirements for such regulations and industry standards as PCI, SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, and FISMA, among others. The integrated portal helps partners’ clients prove to auditors and management that appropriate governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) obligations are met.

To schedule a free trial of Edgeos’ vulnerability assessment services, visit http://www.edgeos.com/request-eval/ and fill out the form to request a free private labeled evaluation account.
