D&H Distributing will be hosting its New England partners Aug. 14 at the 2012 New England Technology Show. The annual event is being hosted at the Quincy Marriot hotel in Quincy, Mass. Outside Boston.
D&H is expecting 500 reseller attendees at this year’s event. “Close to 60 exhibitors are scheduled to participate, including Acer, ASUS, Cisco, HP, Intel, Kensington, Lenovo, Logitech, Microsoft, NETGEAR, Ricoh, Samsung, Toshiba and a host of others,” the distributor states in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB.
The event attracts channel partners with its discounted merchandise, vendor exhibits, and educational seminars.
The seminar agenda includes a Microsoft session about Windows 8 OS, a Cisco Small Business Video Solutions seminar, an Intel Ultrabook seminar, and an SMB Nation presentation on “Business Fluency.” In addition, D&H Distributing’s Solutions Specialists will offer a session covering all-in-one computers.
“We want our resellers to be well informed and ready to succeed as the market changes,” says D&H co-president Michael Schwab. “In a year when Microsoft has such a vital new launch in the works, this kind of early insight can be a differentiator. Our shows offer an empowering amount of intelligence, which can help VARs accommodate the developments that will drive the industry toward its next incarnation.”
Exhibits will include a D&H Solutions Booth and a D&H Server Booth, both of which will offer updated content exclusively for this event. The Server Booth will spotlight Intel’s newest line of pedestal and rack-mount servers, from entry level to highly-specialized, high-performance systems, including models running on Intel’s new E5-based processors.
The Solutions Booth will feature Beabloo’s innovative digital marketing solutions. This vendor will conduct live demonstrations of its technology platform at the booth throughout the evening.
Microsoft’s “Device Bar” will make its first appearance at the Boston-area show, where Microsoft will offer up a collection of devices running Windows 8 and Windows 7 operating systems. The Bar will present a combination of tablets, notebooks and other computing devices, so attendees can get a personal look at how each OS functions on a variety of units.
HP is hosting five full exhibit spaces at the show and will conduct a brand new “Get Inked” campaign during the proceedings. Resellers will be asked to bring special “passports” to five HP booths to be stamped. At each HP booth, attendees will learn about this manufacturer’s CTO (Custom-to-Order) PCs, the thin Ultrabook and Sleekbook notebooks, the new HP Z1 All-in-One Workstation, which enables users to open the unit to execute upgrades or swap-out components, and HP’s new ProLiant Generation 8 Server Solutions.
DISCOUNTS & DOOR PRIZES
As usual, D&H resellers can win door prizes during the event. A Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam will be given away at each seminar, and one lucky winner will take home a Grand Prize of a Toshiba Excite tablet. Attendees will also receive exclusive, one-day-only pricing during the event.
The show opens Aug. 14 with registration at 11 a.m. and seminars beginning at 3 p.m. Registration for the show is free for D&H customers.
