D&H Distributing Offers Cisco SMB Reseller Training at No Cost

D&H resellers can prepare for Cisco’s SMB Specialization exam through the distributor’s Enablement Training Series-and the exam fee is on D&H.

IT and consumer electronics distributor D&H Distributingis offering an “Enablement Training Series” for VARs resellers that will provide the information required to pass Cisco’s SMB Specialization exam, a requirement for partners with the Cisco Select certification badge.

The D&H training program is an on-demand, module-based offering that its VAR customers can take at no cost by visiting the dedicated landing page on dandh.com. Once the training modules are completed, the distributor will provide each reseller with up to two testing vouchers, which covers the fee for the Cisco exam. The Enablement course content is condensed yet rich, according to D&H, enabling resellers to learn the required material at their convenience.

Cisco requires that all existing Select Certified Partners earn the Cisco SMB Specialization by March 3, 2014. This process is designed to update Cisco’s channel partners on the company’s technology and overall architecture, and to empower them to employ solutions-based sales strategies. Cisco Select Certification authorizes partners that have achieved its Small and Midsize Business (SMB) Specialization, recognizing the VAR’s expertise specific to SMBs. This regimen will include new technology topics such as cloud concepts, the vendor’s SMB-level TelePresence products, plus virtualization and data center switching.

D&H has launched a dedicated webpage, dandh.com/CiscoCertification, where resellers can access the training series. It offers a set of modules for resellers’ Cisco Account Manager (AM) and Engineer (EN) positions. The site also provides resources such as an FAQ section and a recertification checklist. And D&H’s Cisco System Engineers will be available for live Q&A sessions, called “Office Hours,” to support resellers who have questions about the material.
