Electronic document management software developer Cabinet NG has rolled out the latest iteration of its popular CNG-SAFE product.
The CNG-SAFE 7.5 document management and workflow software features new automated PDF form field population as well as new user-customized displays and enhancements to CNG-Books.
“A major step that most businesses take as they transition to a paperless office is converting paper forms into electronic PDFs,” explains Cabinet NG in a press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. “CNG-SAFE 7.5 delivers additional value by pre-populating a PDF form with information already entered in CNG-SAFE, such as name, address, account number, etc. The result is improved efficiency and reduction of time and expense associated with creating forms, collecting form data, and minimized data entry errors.”
Indeed, Cabinet NG’s PDF Form data can be used to populate tables in the CNG database for reporting and aggregate data analysis.
CNG-SAFE’s PDF form implementation is similar to its CNG-FORMS offering, except PDFs are based on open industry standards. When using a full version of Acrobat, the document can be signed with a Topaz signature pad or by inserting a digital signature.
In addition, Custom Columns enable users to define what information is displayed in folder, workflow, and scheduled item lists. Standard column information can be being turned on or off for display, and up to five user-defined columns are permitted. Any folder information (folder indexes) can be selected by the user. Customization is on a per user basis.
CNG-Books, document management integration for QuickBooks, also received a new set of capabilities. Keyword entry, credit entry recognition, document attachments, reference number prefill control, and user defined memo field text are now supported.
CNG-SAFE 7.5 is available for new clients and immediate download to customers with software maintenance.
