Voice communications and data infrastructure innovator Black Box Corp. announced a contract extension with NEC Corp. of America this week. The agreement applies to NEC’s appliance-based, software-based, and unified communications solutions, giving Black Box Network Services the ability to sell and support NEC’s communication products through June 2016.
Black Box is an NEC Associate partner with “Triple Diamond” status in the company’s Accelerator Program. According to Black Box CEO Terry Blakemore, the “longstanding relationship” enables Black Box customers to “access to NEC’s wide array of enterprise communications portfolio.”
“Over the years, Black Box has guided its customers through a variety of communications technology advancements, from analog to digital to IP,” says Larry Levenberg, vice president and general manager of national channel sales at NEC Corp. of America.
“With Black Box’s continuing commitment to the NEC portfolio, including unified communications, and software- and appliance-based communications solutions, Black Box and its customers will be prepared for the next wave: software-based communications,” says Levenberg. He adds, “This contract extension underscores NEC’s commitment to Black Box and its loyal base of customers.”
