Bitdefender, MSP-Ignite, RapidFire Tools and Unitrends MSP Team Up to Launch Nationwide Security Collaborative Meetups

National roadshow-style series discusses best practices and latest technology offerings for MSPs to improve their cybersecurity service delivery

Unitrends MSP, the first company to provide enterprise-class backup, ransomware detection and cloud-based business continuity in an all-in-one platform to the MSP market, has announced that they, along with a group of other leading cybersecurity solution providers, have teamed up to create the MSP Security Collaborative Meetup series. This combined initiative amongst Bitdefender, MSP-Ignite, RapidFire Tools and Unitrends MSP offers free, half-day events that bring together these leading cybersecurity solution providers along with MSP peer group facilitators. Attendees will gain insight into best practices and new technologies for protecting clients from external and internal cyber threats.

The MSP Security Collaborative Meetup events feature:

  • Hands-on knowledge and best practices from cybersecurity industry experts, including†Bitdefender,†RapidFire Toolsand†Unitrends MSP
  • Best practices business breakout session led by†MSP-Ignite
  • Buffet lunch
  • Peer MSP networking and happy hour
  • IOT security bundle raffle prize valued at $199

“Given today’s headlines, cybersecurity continues to be an expanding area of concern for the MSP market and their clients,” said Mike Sanders, CEO, Unitrends MSP. “Unitrends MSP is committed to empowering MSPs with the tools and knowledge they need to provide robust cybersecurity service delivery. Our Security Collaborative Meetup series brings area experts, providers, and MSP representatives together for a half-day of learning, networking, and candid discussion. Taking place across the US, the series is designed to help MSPs crack the code on cybersecurity service delivery.”

“Bitdefender is thrilled to be part of this MSP collaborative,” said Jose Lopez, vice president, technology licensing & service providers, Bitdefender. “We look forward to this opportunity to share our industry knowledge and help MSPs defend against advanced threats while at the same time, introducing new revenue streams for their businesses.”

Steve Alexander, president, MSP-Ignite added, “In all of our monthly peer group calls and meetings, security is a hot topic. Everything from what to offer and how to position as a generalist to shifting to an MSSP model and tool selection, our members are discussing security constantly. MSP-Ignite is thrilled to now be able to assist our members as well as non-members on security best practices through this new collaboration.”

While external hacks often get the big headlines, studies have shown that more data breaches are the result of insider actions rather than from the outside. Representatives from RapidFire Tools will be on hand to contribute on this topic. “We’ll be talking to MSPs about what kinds of internal threats to be on the lookout for, how to detect them and how to take action,” said Mike Mittel, CEO of RapidFire Tools.

Security Collaborative Meetups Kick Off in Atlanta
The first stop in the series is the greater Atlanta area. MSPs can†sign up†for this free limited-seating event, offered exclusively for qualified MSPs. The event takes place 11:30 am – 6:30 pm EDT on September 20th, at SweetWater Brewing Company, Inc. at 195 Ottley Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30324.

Space for all events is limited and available on a first-come, first served basis.
