The ASCII Group Awards Solutions Granted the Coveted 2021 ASCII Cup

The 2021 ASCII IT Success Summit series of two-day business-building events for MSPs and solution providers ends the year in Anaheim, capped off with the ASCII Cup awards.

The 2021 10-city ASCII IT Success Summit wrapped in Anaheim, Calif., on December 8 and 9, capped off by the awarding of the ASCII Cup Vendor of the Year to Solutions Granted. The ASCII Group, a membership-based community of independent North American MSPs, MSSPs, and solution providers, presents awards each fall to the Top 10 technology companies that have demonstrated channel goodwill and are dedicated to helping ASCII members grow their IT businesses.

At each ASCII Success Summit throughout the year, attendees vote for the vendors in 12 different categories: Best Overall Presentation, Best Partner Incentives, Best Education, Best Keynote Presentation, Most Innovative Solution, Best Market Opportunity, Best Partner Involvement, Best Rapid Pitch, Best Channel Program, Best Revenue Generator, Best Partner Support, and Best in Show.

The winners at each event are selected based on the total number of votes by the MSPs and solution providers in attendance; at the end of the year, the winner of The ASCII Cup is determined by tabulating the results of all submitted ballots.

The recipients of this year’s ASCII Cup are as follows:

  • 2021 ASCII Cup Vendor of the Year – Solutions Granted
  • First Runner-Up – Pax8
  • 3rd Place – ThreatLocker
  • 4th Place – Nerdio
  • 5th Place – Datto
  • 6th Place – Mailprotector
  • 7th Place – Huntress
  • 8th Place – Acronis
  • 9th Place – Zomentum

Before the awarding of the ASCII Cup and rooftop celebration party, ASCII IT Success Summit attendees in Anaheim spent two days in business-building sessions featuring presentations by members and sponsors on top-of-mind issues in the SMB channel, with a particular focus on security and cloud computing.

Topics covered over the two days included: building a Microsoft Azure practice, cybersecurity best practices, profitability in an everything-as-a-service world, capitalizing on the cloud transformation, and more.

The conference’s headline speaker, Mike Michalowicz, a business makeover specialist and author of The Pumpkin Plan: A Simple Strategy to Grow a Remarkable Business in Any Field and Fix This Next: Make the Vital Change That Will Level Up Your Business, discussed how channel pros can determine what to do and in what order to ensure healthy, fast, and permanent growth.

Sponsor award winners at the Anaheim show, based on attendee votes, were:

  • Best Presentation – Solutions Granted
