Acronis has integrated its Cyber Cloud service provider platform with the ConnectWise Control remote access solution and announced future integrations with ConnectWise’s RMM and PSA systems.
The backup and security vendor unveiled the new functionality on the opening day of ConnectWise’s IT Nation Explore event. Formerly known as Automation Nation, that conference runs through Saturday in Orlando.
Users of ConnectWise Control can now remotely install and update backup agents on individual machines or groups of machines, apply backup plans and Active Protection plans to customer machines, and monitor a device’s status through the ConnectWise Control console.
A future edition of Acronis Cyber Cloud will allow users of the ConnectWise Automate RMM platform protect devices from ransomware with Acronis Active Protection; support agentless virtual machine backup; monitor activity through Acronis’ audit log; monitor alerts for all data sources; develop pre-defined backup reports; and provision cloud services and editions of Acronis Cyber Cloud 8.0, all through the ConnectWise Automate console.
Forthcoming integration with the ConnectWise Manage PSA system, meanwhile, will let technicians provision services to new and existing customers; automate billing; monitor and automatically create tickets for failed backup/recovery operations and quota-related issues; monitor backup statuses; and seamlessly fit the service into existing help desk operations through the ConnectWise Manage interface.

The Acronis Cyber Cloud platform offers backup, disaster recovery, file sync and share, and blockchain-based notarization and e-signature services designed to ensure the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security of data through a single management console. Enabling users to administer that system through the core management tools they spend most of their day in, Acronis says, improves their productivity.
The latest Acronis integrations join more than 10 others linking Cyber Cloud to Datto’s Autotask PSA product, cPanel, Plesk, and other systems.
