There are bigger companies selling RAM than Irvine, Calif.-based Axiom Memory Solutions. But according to Channel Account Manager Ryan Jarman, at least, you’ll have trouble finding one that works harder for you. A family-owned business run largely by the same senior management team since its founding in 1995, Axiom takes customer service seriously. “They’re all about getting it done and doing the right things,” Jarman says.
Though memory is Axiom’s main line of business, its hottest new offering is actually a high-speed fiber optic cable called BENDnFLEX.
Conventional glass fibers can break when you bend them around corners, and broken fibers mean slower performance. That’s an especially big problem for SMBs, who often have to pack their wiring into tight network closets. Based on an innovative and unusually pliable new optical glass technology introduced by Corning Inc. several years ago, BENDnFLEX all but eliminates fiber breakage. “I can sit there and literally tie it in a knot and you’re going to get the same speeds,” Jarman says. Or if necessary a brand new cable, he adds, as BENDnFLEX is backed by a lifetime warranty.
Not surprisingly, BENDnFLEX is not only more bendable than typical network cables but more expensive too. According to Jarman, however, that extra up-front investment buys you extra durability. “You know it’s going to be good for at least five years,” he says.
If only the same were true for the rest of your clients’ network gear.
