WPC 2014: BitTitan Improves MigrationWiz, Unveils Data Encryption Service and Revamped Partner Program

BitTitan’s been hard at work for months adding new features and products to its lineup, as well as prepping a revamped partner program, and it has all come to a head here at the 2014 Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington D.C.

BitTitan is one of the leading experts in providing solutions for cloud-based migration and onboarding. Here at the 2014 Worldwide Partner Conference, BitTitan is showing off a bunch of new capabilities recently added to its popular MigrationWiz tool, which automates email and data migration to Office 365. Anyone who has done email migrations knows it can be a huge time-sink and expensive.

MigrationWiz is already a robust tool for getting users up and running in 365 with much less hassle, but it has a bunch of new features and capabilities that channel partners doing complex migrations will absolutely love.

For starters, BitTitan’s ability to migrate archives from S3 has been expanded to include PST, Exchange Archive, and Google Vault. Support for co-existence migrations has been added, as has support for public folder migration, which handles shared folders, all file types, the folder structure, permissions, etc. It’ll even do full document migrations from one cloud storage solution to another, like Google Drive to OneDrive for Business, or even consume data from a user’s desktop.

BitTitan is also showcasing their zero-downtime migration feature called UserActivation. It automatically generates Office 365 accounts, creates users, assigns licenses, makes DNS changes, mailbox data, and auto-magically configures a user’s local instance of Office programs (like Outlook) to connect to the new account. Slick stuff, and way easier for IT pros than sitting in front of 300 PCs one-by-one to configure Outlook.

Furthermore, BitTitan just announced a partnership with Vaultive to offer an innovative, infrastructure free way of doing complete enterprise-level data encryption for Office 365. BitTitan Data Encryption leverages Vaultive’s encryption-in-use technology and creates a layer between the company and Office 365. Data is encrypted before it goes to the cloud and stays encrypted at all times, during transit, use, and at rest.

Everything is implemented through BitTitan as a service, which eliminates the need for any on premise hardware. More interesting, as BitTitan can offer this service from a number of data centers around the world, partners around the world have a much simpler and cost effective way to offer Office 365 in countries that require data to be encrypted before it crosses the border.

As for pricing, BitTitan is offering the service at $7.99 per user/per month, and resellers can make a minimum of 35% margin.
