The latest product release from the Ore.-based manufacturer Planar addresses the digital signage category.
Planar’s new Simplicity Series of large-format LCD displays are designed to provide users with an easy-to-use and stylish solution that is reasonably priced.
The West Coast-based company explains the line of displays combine a slim physical appearance with full content playback abilities through options that include inputs like HDMI, VGA, DVI and component video. Control options range from RS-232 and Ethernet (RJ-45) to standard IR. Planar also includes energy saving power management options that can reduce power consumption by as much as 30 percent.
Planar states the displays are engineered to install quickly through features such as the ability to push content from a single computer to several displays. The company backs the line of 1080p-capable products with three-year warranties.
With prices that start under $600, Planar says the line of products can be used for a variety of communication installations.
