The big story from Tampa, Fla.-based ConnectWise on Thursday at its IT Nation partner event in Orlando was the debut of a new UI and product names that highlight the tight integration among the company’s core managed services solutions. Four ConnectWise partners from the vendor community, however, announced integrations with ConnectWise software of their own today. Here’s a look at what’s new and notable about those tie-ins.

For some time, ConnectWise users who buy from Lone Tree, Colo.-based cloud solution distributor Pax8 Inc. have had the ability to associate orders with their customer accounts in ConnectWise Manage (the newly disclosed name of ConnectWise’s PSA solution). Thanks to a new, closer integration between those platforms revealed today, however, Pax8 customers can upload detailed rate and quantity information to ConnectWise Manage when provisioning cloud software as well with a few quick clicks.
“We built it to make it easy,” said Ryan Walsh, Pax8’s senior vice president of partner solutions, in an interview with ChannelPro.
The new functionality gives MSPs the flexibility to bill customers for cloud licenses through either Pax8’s own billing module or the same ConnectWise PSA solution they
use to invoice everything else they offer.
“We originally started off thinking that everybody would want to use our platform to do this,” says Pax8 CEO John Street. “We realized quickly that people are pretty entrenched in ConnectWise and Autotask and others, so [it’s] much better to integrate.”
The reference to East Greenbush, N.Y.-based managed services software vendor Autotask Corp. isn’t a stray one, either. Pax8 plans to offer similar functionality to users of that company’s PSA solution as well in the future.
