The larger NAS are mainly directed towards small businesses that a device that can run a server and store tons of information. The Thecus N4200PRO is a great example of a NAS that can store a lot of information while still maintaining ease of accessibility. Earlier, we saw that the Thecus N2200XXX was more beneficial towards small home offices. However, the N4200 should be targeted towards small businesses or small companies rather than the everyday consumer because it is a bit pricy for a storage unit. The N4200 can store up to 12TB (4x3TB hard drives) of information with multiple RAID configurations and at deliver fast speeds with its Intel Atom processor. Now, let’s take a look at the box and see what accessories Thecus has included in their N4200PRO NAS unit.

The Thecus N4200PRO came in a large package, roughly 12 in x 10.5 in x 12 in (30.5 cm x 26.67 cm x 30 cm). On the front of the package, they are emphasizing that the N4200PRO has a Zero-Crash ability with its dual power NAS since it has a power cord and extra battery backup module. The extra battery maintains the stability of the NAS device because it will keep the unit running even when there are power outages. It can only keep the device on for a short period of time but it should give the user enough time to safely turn off the device while still keeping the information intact. The N4200PRO comes with four storage bays each with its own lock and key. There are more than enough screws for both 3.5’’ and 2.5’’ hard drives (47 screws all together). They have included various CDs for installing all the necessary software and a quick start guide for easy setup. Also, they included one Ethernet cable for connecting the storage device to your modem or router.
