Will NVIDIA ever stop releasing cards and take a breath? So far it seem that is not to be the case as almost every month NVIDIA has had a release of one kind or another, but I think this may actually be the last of this lineup for 2012 making it a herald year for the Big Green company as they have clearly been the dominating force in the gaming industry. AMD is still keeping in the ring for now, but they need some new breath in their lineup, which will not be happening until the 2nd Quarter of 2013.
The new 650 Ti is geared for the gamer on a budget that is only in the market for a sub $200.00 VGA solution and nothing more. This lowers the choices by quite a bit and leaves room for only a couple of choices in this arena. AMD’s 7750 is the target competitor for the 650 Ti as they are within the appropriate price margins to be a fair game. Like with any video card that ASUS puts their name on cooling is going to be a very focused area and the model we are looking at today is the DirectCU Top Version that features not only superior after market cooling, but come overclocked right out of the box. Lets see what else this card has to offer the budget user who still wants performance, but doesn’t want to invest too much cash. Onward we fly.
