Wowza to Deliver Audio and Video Content via Windows Azure

The Wowza platform will initially support on-demand streaming on Windows Azure Media Services, with any-screen delivery to mobile devices and other media players.

Wowza Media Systems, a media server software provider, is giving Wowza customers the option of delivering audio and video content using Wowza Media Server 3 in the new Windows Azure Media Services. The Wowza platform will initially support on-demand streaming on Windows Azure Media Services, with any-screen delivery to mobile devices and other media players.

The integration of Wowza Media Server with Windows Azure Media Services enables customers to use the automatic scalability of Windows Azure to build out audio and video streaming products. The Windows Azure video workflow provides a broad set of encoding, DRM, streaming, and CDN choices.

Wowza Media Server is expected to be available for public preview on Windows Azure later this year. For more information, visit Wowza Media Systems.
