SYNNEX Named Exclusive Distributor of HP 3D Printing Solution

The broadline leader is also now an authorized distributor of the A3 printers HP shipped last month.

In dual extensions of a 20-year partnership with a top hardware maker, SYNNEX Corp. has announced that it is now the exclusive distributor of HP Inc.‘s Jet Fusion 3D Printing solution in the U.S. and Canada, and that it’s also now an authorized distributor in those countries of HP’s recently introduced family of A3 multifunction printers.

The news arrives one day after the introduction of Palo Alto, Calif.-based HP’s first reseller program for the Jet Fusion 3D Printing line and some 7 months after analysts at Gartner projected that shipments of enterprise 3D printers would increase at a 57.4 percent CAGR through 2020.

“SYNNEX has seen opportunities across multiple sectors as 3D redefines the way companies do business,” said Peter Larocque, president for North American distribution at SYNNEX, in a press statement. “We are pleased to offer HP’s Jet Fusion 3D solution, along with the accessories and solutions needed for success in this fast-growing market.”

The Jet Fusion 3D Printing platform, which HP billed as the industry’s first production-ready commercial 3D printing solution a year ago when it first unveiled the new offering, complements a set of existing 3D printer sales, service, and supply offerings that Fremont, Calif.-based SYNNEX has been cultivating for 4 years.

“We look forward to working with SYNNEX as the distributor of HP Multi Jet Fusion technology in the U.S. and Canada to scale the HP 3D printing business,” said Alex Mo√±ino, HP’s director of worldwide marketing and sales strategy for 3D printing, in today’s press release. “SYNNEX is an experienced and reliable partner that will help HP drive the digital reinvention of manufacturing and, most importantly, provide customers with exceptional service and the market’s leading technology for advanced 3D applications.”

The A3 printers that SYNNEX now distributes made their debut early last month. HP’s first products for the A3 segment, those systems are part of an ongoing effort to grab a share of the $55 billion global copier market that began with the vendor’s blockbuster acquisition of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.’s printer business for $1.05 billion last September.

“SYNNEX is pleased to bring the leading-edge A3 portfolio to the North American market,” Larocque said in prepared remarks. “HP Inc.’s leadership in innovation, quality and reliability continues to have a significant influence on the printing market, and the addition of the A3 line provides tangible growth opportunities for SYNNEX customers.”

HP’s A3 printers are available for ordering through SYNNEX immediately.
