Managed services software maker SolarWinds MSP, of Durham, N.C., has launched its Security Resource Center, designed to make it quick and easy for MSPs to get the information they need about current security issues and trends, as well as recommended best practices†to help ensure their business and customers are protected.
The Security Resource Center will provide real-time alerts and important information from the field, including “How-to Guides” and security assets such as ebooks, white papers, research conducted with the Ponemon Institute on The 2017 Cyberattack Storm Aftermath, infographics, and blogs.
Also available on the Security Resource Center is “The Brown Report,” a monthly update from SolarWinds MSP Vice President of Security Tim Brown (pictured) that looks at how the latest cybersecurity threat
s may impact MSPs, and tackles each topic with an eye toward actions MSPs can take today to help stay ahead of threats and help keep their clients safe from cyberattacks.
“Security threats don’t discriminate, and MSPs are on the front line fighting to keep SMBs safe from cyberthreats,” said Brown in a press statement. “It’s more critical than ever for MSPs to understand today’s threat landscape and know how they can proactively protect their customers. Our goal is to help our partners spend less time searching through mountains of research, and encourage them to stay up to date on the latest security news by providing it in one convenient location, allowing them to spend more time managing their business.”
Security was one of the themes stressed at the company’s Empower MSP partner conference in Orlando in October. At the event, Brown said in an interview, “The next cyber battlefront is at the SMB, and the only way to protect them is to get those folks who are managing them to take security seriously.”
