Samsung Offers a Preview of Galaxy S5 and Gear Devices Prior to Launch

Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit are on display and available for pre-order at more than 1,400 shops around the world beginning on March 21, 2014. The preview offers an advanced experience of Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit, with the help of Galaxy Specialists who will be showcasing the new features including a HDR camera, finger print recognition, and Heart Rate Monitor.

“The new Galaxy S5 and Gear devices are designed for what matters most to our consumers,” says Younghee Lee, executive vice president of global marketing, IT, and mobile division at Samsung Electronics. “We want to give as many customers as possible the chance to experience of Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit before they purchase.”

The global preview takes place at Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores, and key retailer stores across 61 countries. Beginning with the United States and Switzerland on March 21, the first look experience will be expanded to the remaining 59 markets including Brazil, China, Germany, and United Kingdom.

Besides the Galaxy S5, Samsung also unveiled three new additions to the Gear series at Samsung UNPACKED 2014 -- the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit. The Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo offer consumers enhanced connectivity and a completely integrated approach for the most wearable experience. The Samsung Gear Fit, featuring a curved Super AMOLED display, offers the convenience of Samsung Gear technology with the most comprehensive fitness tools.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Gear devices will be available globally on April 11, 2014.
