Nexaweb Technologies and Pyxis Mobile Partner Up On Mobility Project
The companies aim to work together to modernize the legacy applications of SMBs.
Nexaweb Technologies and Pyxis Mobile are partnering to extend the modernization of their legacy applications to include mobile.
Nexaweb creates solutions for migrating and extending business applications to the Web. Pyxis Mobile delivers an application platform for business mobility.
Integration between Nexaweb and the Pyxis Mobile platform is aimed at providing SMBs with experiences via iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, or Android applications similar to those of native interfaces.
“This will create opportunities for companies to create new customer service, financial trading, real-time news, and data streaming solutions,” the companies state in a joint press release submitted to EH Publishing.
The companies report that the installed base of smart phones is expected to top the total for PCs or laptops by 2013. “Mobile devices are a computing platform that needs to be part of every IT organization’s application strategy,” the companies say.
T.L. Neff,† Pyxis Mobile vice president of product management, tells Channel Pro-SMB that his company’s application platform is a “perfect complement to Nexaweb’s software and services for modernizing legacy applications.”
For Nexaweb’s part, the company’s CEO Chris Heidelberger says the partnership of the two companies “strengthens Nexaweb’s ability to modernize legacy applications, making them securely available to employees, partners, and customers, anytime and anywhere, from any device. “Together, we can enable more organizations to increase their efficiency, enhance productivity, and improve top-line growth by transforming workflow,” he says.
