Growth in Mobile Device Management Drives Acceleration of Continuum and Fiberlink Partnership

Continuum/Fiberlink MDM solution allows managed services providers to manage clients’ mobile devices alongside desktops and servers – all from a single pane of glass.

Continuum, a provider of fully integrated managed IT services solutions, has accelerated its partnership with MaaS360 by Fiberlink, an IBM company, due to the growth in mobile device management (MDM). Continuum offers Fiberlink’s MDM solution as part of its intelligent Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software. Continuum partners are reporting an acceleration in demand for mobility managed services and value managing customer devices, content, and applications through the functionalities of MaaS360, all from Continuum’s single pane of glass.

“While the number of mobile devices per individual is rapidly growing and the need for MDM policies is becoming more and more obvious, a fraction of MSPs is still overlooking possibilities offered by including MDM in their day-to-day business,” says Francois Daumard, VP of Channels at Fiberlink. “But, there is a tremendous need and opportunity, and Continuum and Fiberlink make it very easy to get started. With no minimum devices required, Continuum’s MSPs can easily help their clients manage mobile devices alongside their desktops and servers, under the same single pane of glass, addressing HIPAA compliance, security, and control over all devices – including mobile.”

Analysts predict that by 2018, the average professional will have 10 Web-connected devices. Currently, on average, less than 30% of SMBs have an MDM policy in place. The Continuum/Fiberlink MDM solution offers a comprehensive way to see and control the mobile devices entering the enterprise, whether they are provided by the company or part of a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. The joint solution now offers new modules, including Advanced Mobility Management Bundle and the Secure Productivity Suite, which includes Secure Browser, Secure Mail, and Secure App Management. Billing has also been restructured to monthly, allowing for more scalability.
