Free Online Training from Wasp Barcode Technologies

Training in the company’s asset tracking and inventory control applications is now available, with time and attendance solutions coming in April 2009.

Small businesses considering new software should seek out solutions that include free training, according to Wasp Barcode Technologies, based in Plano, Texas. In an effort to help its customers make an immediate positive impact on their businesses, Wasp this year has launched free online training for two of its key products, with more on the way.

“In the past, small businesses have purchased software to solve key business problems, but then could not find the time or expertise to get it up and running,” says Tom O’Shea, general manager for Wasp. “In today’s business environment, companies cannot afford to buy any tool that will not provide immediate, positive return on investment. That’s why we are offering free online training, so our customers can be assured they will achieve the fastest, greatest benefits our products can possibly offer.”

In response to customer requests, Wasp is currently offering online training for two products: Wasp MobileAsset asset tracking software and Wasp Inventory Control software. Training for WaspTime time and attendance solutions will begin in April.

The free, one-hour training sessions are provided by a live instructor via WebEx online conferencing. Training includes:

  • Information on software installation and setup
  • An overview of key terms and processes
  • Instructions on specific functions and features, including examples based on real-world scenarios
  • A question and answer period

“It’s clear that Wasp put a lot of thought into developing this training specifically for new users,” says Brent Haniszewski of the U.S. Army, who completed online training for MobileAsset. “The presentation was comprehensive and helpful, teaching everything from installation to actual usage. My questions were answered, and I was ready to get the software up-and-running at my job quickly.”

Training is available for current customers and potential customers who have downloaded a trial version of the product. To register, visit www.waspbarcode.com/asset_management or www.waspbarcode.com/inventory_control. †Select the Free Training icon for a list of upcoming sessions.
