FieldAware, a developer of made-for-mobile, cloud-based field service automation solutions, has released its open Application Programming Interface (API) to speed integration and development of third-party applications and services. The FieldAware API is a RESTful implementation that enables applications to interact and share data with FieldAware’s mobile applications.
“Field service operations are empowering field service workers with mobile technology to bring tremendous efficiencies and productivity improvements.†Easy integration with third-party applications, including cloud-based infrastructure and business systems, is necessary to maximize the impact,” says Johnny Jones, FieldAware’s vice president of global distribution.†
The first co-development using FieldAware’s API is with NetSuite.†FieldAware has integrated its mobile field service solutions with NetSuite’s cloud-based business systems to provide customers with a solution for automating and optimizing field service organizations. The FieldAware for NetSuite integration leverages FieldAware’s new API to integrate flexible mobile field service automation functionality with NetSuite’s cloud-based accounting, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce capabilities.
“The co-development of the FieldAware for NetSuite integration gives our customers turnkey integration with the leading cloud-based enterprise business systems,” says Jones. “The ability to synchronize data across the NetSuite and FieldAware platforms brings a new level of automation and flexibility that can translate to better service and competitive edge.”
FieldAware’s made-for-mobile solution is designed to automate field service processes to increase productivity and safety in the field. It offers a flexible mobile architecture and customizable workflow for all functions in the work order life cycle including work order and asset management, job scheduling, time sheets, quotes, and invoicing. The FieldAware for NetSuite integration enables data from both the NetSuite and FieldAware systems to be synchronized in real-time. The integrated solution allows users of either system to create, read, update, delete, and invoice transactional data (i.e. sales orders, jobs, and invoices). Worflows can be adjusted and synchronized across both platforms and NetSuite users can push changes in customer data and job information in real-time to FieldAware.
