Epson's New WorkForce Printers Offer to Cut Color Printing Cost for Small Business

Printers powered by PrecisionCore technology boast fast ISO speeds and print-shop quality color prints at up to half the cost of color laser. By ChannelPro

Epson has unveiled its new WorkForce business printing solutions featuring 11 models with PrecisionCore, the company’s next generation printing technology. These WorkForce models offer print-shop quality color prints, laser-sharp black and color text, and print speeds at up to half the printing cost of color laser.

The new line of printers include the WorkForce series for SOHO users, WorkForce Pro printers for SMBs and workgroups, and WorkForce wide format for larger paper and scanning sizes. All WorkForce printers are designed to deliver true-to-life color for consistent tones and colors on all paper types – plain, matte and glossy, as well as faster first page out speed with no warm-up time.

All WorkForce models are equipped with Ethernet, wireless, and Wi-Fi Direct, automatic two-sided print, copy, scan and fax, and color touchscreen control panels.

The WF-7610 and WF-7620 offer 250-sheet and 500-sheet capacity, and both models feature automatic two-sided print, copy, scan, and fax up to 11 x 17-inches.

PrecisionCore Technology
PrecisionCore features Epson’s thin-film piezoelectric (TFP) elements, which are produced through a MEMS manufacturing process. The PrecisionCore MicroTFP print chip produces dots at the micron level, and each nozzle on the printhead delivers up to 50,000 droplets per second. The print chips contain a higher number of nozzles in a more condensed area, resulting in more ink flow. Because the print chips are scalable, they can be combined to deliver more ink and boost print speed. The printers are available in two-chip and four-chip configurations.
